A Chilean native, Paula graduated from University of Chile in 2008 with a BFA degree in Theater Design. She continued her education in NYC with an MFA in Lighting Design from Parsons in 2015.
Prior joining Cooley Monato Studio in 2015, Paula spent several years developing lighting, set, and costume designs for theater, television, film, advertising, and photography. Her theater work have been experienced in Chile, Europe, and North America where she received the ATI and LATA award for best set design.
At CoMoS, Paula has worked on a range of residential, hospitality, retail, and commercial projects. She is involved in design development, project management, lighting fixtures, controls specifications, energy calculations, and collaboration with other designers through all stages of the design, construction, and aiming process.
From her background in Theater Lighting Paula has a strong understanding of lighting’s poetics and narrative. She, additionally, develops artistic light, film, and theater projects during her free time.
